Open to individuals and families in need within the Elk Rapids School District

Pick up groceries every other week on these dates at First Presbyterian Church, corner of Chippewa and Spruce Streets, Elk Rapids, MI.

Supported by donations from the community, corporations, associations, families, and individuals within the area.

Groceries provided include cereal, juice, peanut butter, fresh fruits and vegetables, ground beef, chicken, hotdogs, bread, soup, pasta, macaroni and cheese, eggs, canned vegetables and fruit, and many other items.

Special baskets are provided for Easter, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.

 
  • To qualify for the Community Cupboard assistance, a family should meet the Federal Poverty Guidelines.

    The Community Cupboard uses 200% of the Federal Poverty level as the qualification.

    For example, a family of 4 using the 2021 poverty guideline, is $26,500.

    To qualify for the Community Cupboard this family of 4 income should not exceed $53,000.

  • There is a requirement to provide proof of residency and income.

  • We can help families with their grocery bills so they have more resources available for the other expenses in their life.
