A retired United States Navy Officer, Pam has served in many volunteer organizations throughout her life. She enjoys hiking, bicycling, and camping and volunteers with the Grand Traverse Regional Land Conservancy and Norte.

Debbie started as the Secretary in September 2023.

Peg is a retired school teacher, having taught for 31 years in southwestern Michigan. Their Birch Lake property was purchased in 1968 and they moved here in 2004.

She was a volunteer for the Elk Rapids Chamber for over 10 years. She enjoyed helping out at the Chamber’s events such as Wednesday on River Street and Harbor Days. Peg also volunteered at Lakeland Elementary School

Peg enjoys reading, playing the piano, and spending time with friends and family. She has served the Community Cupboard as past treasurer. She is proud of and continues to support the Elk Rapids Community Cupboard.

I have lived in Elk Rapids since early childhood and graduated from Cherryland High School, Elk Rapids. My primary occupation was with Cone Drive/ Textron as an office manager in Traverse City. Military experience includes being drafted in November 1965, one 12 month tour of Viet Nam, and after active duty joining the U.S. Army reserves with 20 years of service and retiring as a Command Sergeant Major. I currently serve as a volunteer on the Antrim County Veterans Affairs Committee. I previously served for ten years with Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve, a department of DOD. Also, I am active with the local American Legion Post and AmVets Post supporting needy military veterans.

Monica is a retired Youth Ministry Coordinator. She and her husband have enjoyed this area for more than 35 years and were fortunate enough to be able to move here in 2016. Monica enjoys gardening, kayaking, golfing, and hiking. In addition to ERCC, she is involved in her church community.

Charlie Pryde retired from Ford Motor Company after 25 years in 2017. Prior to Ford, he was a Surface Warfare Officer in the US Navy — leaving the Navy as a Lieutenant Commander. Charlie recently served Elk Rapids as a village trustee and a commission member of the Parks and Recreation Commission. Charlie has an undergraduate degree from Michigan State University and a graduate degree from Harvard University.

Myrna has been with. the Community Cupboard for more than 20 years. She volunteered to serve as a board member in September 2023.

In addition to the Board, there are about 25 volunteers who help with packing groceries, picking up food, delivering to those who are unable to drive plus help in coordinating with the Northwest Food Coalition Food Rescue team.
